​On 19 September Claire and Brian Bradburn, Ruth Bradwell, Dan Harawiri, Rachel Clarke, Graham Jackson, Ian Richards and Lorraine Gray played in the Rex Hayes Mixed Doubles held at the Kapiti Club in Paraparaumu.

After four random draw games in the morning, the top 8 went into the Trophy, the next 8 into the Plate and the remaining 6 into the Bowl.

In the afternoon although Claire and Brian made it to the Plate playoffs they were unfortunately eliminated before the final. The other three Silverstream teams played off for the Bowl with the final being won by Lorraine and Ian over Ruth and Dan, and Rachel and Graham being placed third equal.

It was a cold and often wet day but it was a satisfying and enjoyable day.
