The annual men's challenge against Hutt was played on Sunday 23rd September. Silverstream got of to a very slow start but bowled much better in the afternoon. The results were:
Morning Results: Silverstream: 2 wins and 1 draw, Hutt: 6 wins and 1 draw. Afternoon Results: Silverstream: 7 wins, Hutt: 2 wins. Overall: Silverstream 9 wins and 1 draw, Hutt 8 wins and 1 draw. A close result in the end but Silverstream retained the Silverstream/Hutt Shield for another year. The annual challenge for the Charlie-Don Shield against Plimmerton was played on Sunday 9th September. It was a cool spring day but both greens were in excellent condition and some very good bowls were played. The results were:
Silverstream men: 8 wins, Plimmerton men: 10 wins. Silverstream women: 5 wins, Plimmerton women: 1 win. Overall: Silverstream 13 wins, Plimmerton 11 wins. Silverstream retained the Charlie-Don Shield thanks to a great effort by the Silverstream women.
