The above tournament was held at Silverstream on a very cool, rainy and windy day.
It did not deter the 8 opponents who came from the lower North Island (Wanganui, Levin and the surrounding regions of the Wellington area).
Claire Bradburn represented the Silverstream
The tournament consisted of four timed games and a play-off, for a duration of 50 minutes each.
Claire Bradburn faced Kevin McFadgen of Kapiti in the play-off for 3rd and 4th positions, with
Kevin defeating Claire 13 – 4. Well done to both for their performances.
The final untimed game was between Dave Gatchell of Levin, (the previous holder of the title) and Tony Simpson of Wanganui, with Tony defeating Dave 13-11 in a very close fought game.
Two days of fierce competition and of course loads of fun with a great turnout of junior (year 1 - 5) members representing clubs across the Wellington Region.
Silverstream was proud to host this annual event and get the opportunity to help foster relationships that will last for years to come.
A huge thankyou to all the helpers and supporters over the two days and to our esteemed club President (Aaron) for his continued support of junior member development.

A stunner of a day blessed the fours teams allowing a full day of play to be had in perfect conditions. Two rounds were played today and everyone appeared to really enjoy getting back into the swing of competitive play and a good dose of banter.
More photos of todays games can be seen on our facebook page - many thanks to De-Anne Sunderland (the unofficial club photographer) for coming down and taking a few good pics :)
