His first year bowling and his first of what are likely to be many winning moments if this fella keeps playing like the way he has started. The final between Hamish and Wilson was an absolute delight to watch but in the end Hamish claimed the victory.  Forget the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle debacle... we have our own famous prince to read about right here. SBCs very own club president Ian Prince has made his way into New Zealand headlines!
Well... ok, not exactly headlines... and perhaps not all of New Zealand has seen it. But page 5 of the free local rag is still classed a s fame in our books. Take a look at Ians piece here. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Clare Hendra and Adam Turner who were winners of the Wellington Open Women's and Open Men's Singles on Monday 4th November at Island Bay. For Clare this is the second year in a row that she has won this event and for Adam it is his second win having won the event in 2017. Great achievements for both!! Final results were: Clare Hendra (Silverstream) 21, Helen King (Victoria) 17 Adam Turner (Silverstream) 21, Sar Alefoaio (Naenae) 20 See the score cards here. Congratulations to Clare Hendra who won the Wellington Women's Champion of Champion Singles on Sunday the 7th of April beating Pam Mulford of Plimmerton in the final 21 to 14. This gives Clare the double for the season having won in February the Wellington Women's Open Singles. Photos below show Clare and Pam and also Clare and Robbie Bird who won the Men's Champion of Champion Singles. Congratulations to Clare Hendra who have been selected in the Wellington squad for the National Intercentre Competition to be held in Auckland starting on Friday 22nd of March. Clare will be playing in the pairs with Dale Rayner.

Clare had strong wins in the quarter and semi final and although the final was a little closer Clare dominated over the last nine ends winning eight of these ends. The McArthur Henry Shield is a junior competition for Hutt Valley clubs and this year it is being played at the Hutt Club on Sunday 27th of January starting at 9:00am The Silverstream teams are:
