Wellington Centre Events
Each season Bowls Wellington runs a series of open championships for men and women from October to April/May. These are open to all bowlers in the Wellington region and from further afield. Typically these start on a Saturday, with qualifying finishing on the Sunday and the competition concluding on the Monday. Some of our keener members enter these events and you can follow their progress during the season on the bowls wellington website.
Throughout the season we run social bowls competitions for all members including those wanting to play just for fun. These range from speed bowls on our Opening Day through social pairs, triples and other competitions to the east v west challenge on our Closing Day. (Members are classified east or west according to where they live relative to the railway line!)
Many clubs run one day or two day galas/tournaments throughout the season which are open to our members. Details can be found in the clubhouse or by checking out the bowls wellington website.
